Falconer Pants
The Falconer Pants are high-waisted woven pants with two leg shape options. View A is full length with a wide leg and view B is ankle length with a barrel leg. Both views feature a unique side panel detail with set-in side pockets. The Falconer Pants have a zipper fly closure and a curved waistband. These pants are designed with medium to heavyweight wovens in mind, perfect for our Cortina Linen/Cotton. You will love the effortlessly cool fit and design details of the Falconer Pants!
What you'll learn:
- How to choose your size and grade between sizes.
- Make a mock up to ensure the best fit possible.
- How to install a zipper fly.
- Sew a fitted waistband with belt loops.
- Garment sewing tips and tricks of the trade.
You will have sewing/cutting homework between classes. As a class benefit you have access for homework our Studio Rentals at no cost. Contact the shop to set up a time.
What to bring:
- Falconer Pants Pattern This pattern is available online in sizes XS-7X. We’ll print the pattern files for you!
- Fabric for Mock Up, such as muslin, an old (clean) sheet or thrifted fabric.
- Pattern tracing paper
- Mid-weight woven fabric for final pants.
- 5.5"-9" pants zipper (depends on size)
- 7/8" Pants button
- Thread
- Regular foot & zipper foot.
- Basic sewing tools: Pins, marking pen/ chalk
- Sewing machine in good working order. Much like driving, we find it’s best to learn on what machine you have available to you! Please be sure to bring the foot pedal, power cord, machine manual, and all accessories. If you do not have your own sewing machine you may rent one during class for an additional fee.

* This class is designed for age 16+
* Cancellation Notice: We kindly ask that makers give a minimum 1 week notice of cancellation for class credit/reschedule and a 2 week cancellation notice for full refund. This advance notice will allow us to make any necessary adjustments to our schedule and accommodate other makers.
Refunds: Class cancellations made with a 2 week notice or more will either receive a full refund on a gift card, or a full refund minus the $5 card processing fee to the card that was used to purchase the class registration. This fee accounts for the costs associated with the transaction and ensures a smooth and secure refund process. Multi-week courses fill more slowly and a 72 hour notice (current single class policy) is not enough time to fill an empty spot.

| Skill Details: | Open to confident beginners and intermediate sewists who are comfortable using their sewing machine and can follow a basic pattern mostly on their own. Classes will involve some homework to maximize class time to learn new skills. When taking an intermediate garment class it’s helpful if you have experience sewing hems, elastic waistbands, zippers or gathers. |
