Unicorn EPP Quilt Block

Go beyond the hexagon in this advanced beginner hand sewing English Paper Piecing (EPP) class featuring challenging - but totally achievable - aspects of EPP. We will tackle crisp points and smaller shapes to create a next level piece that you will want to make over and over again! The finished piece is perfect as a patch or embellishment on a jacket, bag or pillow.

New to EPP? No problem! We can adjust the approach to feature larger shapes for a more manageable first project.

What you will be doing:

- Making a Unicorn Quilt Block using english paper piecing hand sewing method. 

- Look at some finished samples to help you visualize what you want to create

- Jump right in to cutting out paper pattern

- Pick two pieces to practice glue basting and flat back stitching

- Discuss best practices on points and complex shapes

- Relax and work through the rest of the pattern!

- Printed out Unicorn Quilt Block EPP pattern purchased from artist (see link). Recommend printing it on cardstock (100 lbs card stock) or EPP paper. If you don't have a printer and/or cardstock - not to worry! Rebecca can provide printed out copies of the pattern, provided you have proof of purchase from the artist

- Glue stick - regular school glue stick is fine, EPP glue is preferred but not required

- Fabric scraps or FQs of contrasting colors 

- Regular scissors, fabric scissors, hand sewing needle, and thread

We kindly ask that students give a minimum 72 hours notice of cancellation or rescheduling needs. This advance notice will allow us to make any necessary adjustments to our schedule and accommodate other makers.

Refunds: Class cancellations made with a 72 hour notice or more will either receive a full refund on a gift card, or a full refund minus the $5 card processing fee to the card that was used to purchase the class registration. This fee accounts for the costs associated with the transaction and ensures a smooth and secure refund process.
